As we are getting closer and closer to the end of the year, we are also getting closer to Christmas and even closer again to Stories in the Park. This week, in fact, on Friday, you are invited to celebrate with us the waning year at Decks Reserve. In my books, there is no better way to do this than by playing, listening to live music while eating delectable food and of course settling in to listen to some stories. It all starts at 4:30pm on Friday, 19 December: There will be several food-stalls, where you can purchase hot or cold food and drinks, there will be social outdoor games, music and other performances, even a clown will be around, probably getting the smaller people spellbound.
Storytelling will start a 7:30pm with 8 quite well known people from our community:
I’m sure it is going to be an unforgettable night and hope to see you Friday afternoon. Please invite all of your friends to join and let us know via facebook, that you are coming. Also, come prepared with camping chairs and blankets, the ground might be damp and it will turn cool towards the end.
Ah, and in the unlikely event of unfavorable weather, we’ll be at the Memorial Hall from 6pm, with food and music, storytelling will commence at 7:30pm . I’ll update this web page on Friday at midday and again half way through the afternoon, so keep an eye on it!
We haven’t yet sold all the NPR Trio DVDs, so they will be available for purchase on Friday. To refresh your memory on how it was like, or for those of you who didn’t get to chance to attend, have a look in the Video section on this web page.
See you later this week.
