After last year’s successful ‘Stories in the Park’, I was so inspired, that I immediately booked Decks Reserve again for this year. And now, I can hardly believe it, Christmas is just around the corner, and so is our open air story telling.
There are a few changes from last year, minor adjustments hardly worth a mention, except for one change: There is no theme.
We have invited a number of prominent local individuals to share one of their stories, and we have to wait a little longer for final confirmation.
In the unlikely event of bad weather we will go ahead anyway, but the venue will change. So ‘Stories in the Park’ will happen regardless of weather. You can stay informed by keeping an eye on this site.
Again, we will start halfway through the afternoon, play games, listen to music, have a picnic or get some culinary delights from the food stalls. Story telling will commence at 7.30pm.
Make sure you bring a blanket or camping chair and something warm to wrap up in.
Please make sure all of your friend know about it and send the link to the web page to everybody whom you think would be interested.
On a different note, I’m very excited to announce, that Chris Laing from ‘Around the Campfire’, the story telling events in Golden Bay,and I have joined to co-host an extended workshop, called “Develop your Story”. It will take place over several days during Luminate Festival at the end of January. You are all welcome there to develop and deepen one of your stories.
Anyway, as mentioned earlier, keep an eye on this page, more information will be loaded as we get closer to the time.
